It’s great to meet you.
Our story.
Regulation Station was created from a shared belief: that when children are supported to develop emotional regulation skills early, it can shape their wellbeing for life.
As a psychologist and an early childhood teacher, we kept seeing the same need — children experiencing big feelings, and the adults around them wanting to help, but often without simple, practical tools to do so.
Through many conversations, we recognised an opportunity to bring together our expertise in psychology, movement, and early childhood education to better support young children’s emotional development — and to create something truly meaningful.
Research consistently shows that early childhood is a critical window for developing emotional regulation — the ability to recognise, understand, and manage feelings. When these skills are nurtured early, children are better supported with school readiness, positive relationships, resilience, and long-term wellbeing.
But more importantly, we’ve seen what this looks like in real life.
When children are given the right tools, they learn how to calm their bodies, express their needs, and move through big emotions with greater confidence. These are skills that don’t just support them in the classroom — they carry into their friendships, their families, and their future.
What began as an idea quickly grew into action. After sharing our work with families and educators, the response was immediate — a clear need for support that felt practical, engaging, and accessible.
Since then, we’ve worked alongside early learning centers and communities to refine and deliver workshops that truly meet children where they are.
Today, Regulation Station supports children, educators, and families across Adelaide and Brisbane — with a shared mission to help children build the emotional skills they need to thrive.
If you’re a parent, educator, or early learning center looking to support children in developing strong emotional regulation skills, we’d love to work with you.
