It’s great to meet you.

Our story

Regulation Station began with a simple belief: every child deserves the opportunity to develop the skills to understand and manage their emotions.

As a psychologist and an early childhood teacher, we both saw children navigating big feelings every day. We also saw the educators and families around them wanting to help, but often without practical, engaging tools to support emotional regulation in everyday moments.

By bringing together our experience in psychology, early childhood education, and movement, we created Regulation Station to make emotional learning fun, meaningful, and accessible for young children.

Research tells us that the early years are a crucial time for developing emotional regulation, laying the foundation for resilience, positive relationships, learning, and lifelong wellbeing. We've also seen these benefits firsthand. When children are given simple strategies to understand their emotions and calm their bodies, they grow in confidence—not just at school, but at home, with friends, and throughout life.

Today, we're proud to partner with educators, early learning centers, and families across Adelaide and Brisbane, helping children build the emotional skills they need to thrive—one playful, practical workshop at a time.

If you’re a parent, educator, or early learning center looking to support children in developing strong emotional regulation skills, we’d love to work with you.

Warmly,
Ashleigh & Laura

Meet the Founders

Ashleigh

Hi, I’m Ash — a registered psychologist based in Adelaide. I have a diverse background across education, community services, and government, which has shaped my understanding of the systems surrounding young people and families, and supports me to provide inclusive, responsive care.

I enjoy working with children and adolescents experiencing neurodivergence and other mental health challenges, alongside their families and support networks.

I’m passionate about helping young people thrive in a way that aligns with who they are, while equipping parents, educators, and organisations with practical tools to confidently navigate challenges—especially when big feelings arise.

Outside of the office, you’ll usually find me enjoying the outdoors, spending time with my favourite people (and pups), discovering good food, or on a Pilates reformer.

Laura

Hi, I’m Laura — a New Zealand Early Childhood Teacher, coffee lover, and neuroscience nerd. After seeing my own class struggle with big feelings, I dove into research like the Dunedin Study and became passionate about helping children build self-regulation skills early. Regulation Station is where that passion comes to life.
